Perhaps that way Sylvie gets the chance to fully face her demons and trauma, work with the reformed TVA (thanks to Mobius and B-15) to find Loki, build friendships with them, return everyone their memories (especially since she returned B-15′s and I could see her vouch for Sylvie in front of other TVA agents who are majorly confused and want their memories restored), get a ‘therapy’ session or two from Mobius, maybe find out how her life would turn out if she hadn’t been taken from the timeline, see her life in Time Theatre (that way we also see a glimpse into her past), maybe she even sees what would happen to Loki if he hadn’t been captured by the TVA and that way she can also understand him more.Īnd Loki gets a taste of the kind of life Sylvie lived her entire life, forced solitude, surrounded by death and chaos, being on the run from the TVA (I think it would also work as a pretty good parallel with Sylvie’s life, if Loki escaped from that new TVA, but Kang or whoever’s in charge of that TVA recognized Loki as a threat that needs to be taken care of - specially since this Loki has knowledge about HWR, the Kang variants, multiversal war, knows how to enchant Alioth and thanks to HWR’s monologue knows that using Alioth could bring an end to the war and Kang’s conquering - and sends that new TVA after him. I kinda really like this whole switcheroo type of concept, because in a way it’s almost as if they get the opportunity to live the other’s life for a bit. The fact that Sylvie spent her entire life living and surviving in them, evading the TVA is one of the things that he admires in her.
The TVA is a traumatic place for Sylvie and Loki is unfamiliar with apocalypses and living in them. In short, Loki and Sylvie are searching for each other in wrong places, the places that are unfamiliar to them and ones they under normal circumstances wouldn’t visit Sylvie and the TVA and Loki and apocalypses, all that just so they could find each other again. She gets there and she only finds Mobius, B-15 and a reformed TVA who want to find the rest of the truth & have their memories restored, but not Loki. However, meanwhile Sylvie, after realizing that offing HWR brought her no satisfaction, no relief, in fact it only worsened everything because she sent Loki away - the one person she cares about and the one she figured out she in fact, can trust - in a bid to finish her mission and after realizing that HWR was in fact telling the truth (whether she realizes that on her own or afterwards when she’s at the TVA), takes Laevateinn and returns to the og TVA because she genuinely thinks she sent Loki there - the place where his friends and allies are. So he willingly starts jumping from one apocalypse to another, basically living in them, in hopes to find Sylvie, because he’s aware that living in apocalypses is pretty much the only way she knows how to live and he fully expects to find her there.
And that’s what happened in the end).Īnd he knows her and probably expects her to return to her old ways of living - which involves being constantly on the move, in apocalypses, alone - because even though that’s a horrible way of living, it’s also simultaneously the only one she knows and the one she perhaps, as weird as it sounds, finds comfort in it.
Especially since he now knows she’s far from okay, and like Tom said, if you care about someone, you want them to be ok, and Loki’s concern was that if the multiverse splits open, Sylvie would not be ok.
And then after he calms down enough he comes up with a plan perhaps finding Sylvie now is his priority for multiple reasons (because they are both the only ones who know what happened, because they are responsible for this current mess, because he believes they can fix this together and because of the love, care and concern for her and her well being. Like, Loki escapes the new TVA, finds shelter or some place safe where he can have his mini freak out over everything that just happened. My guess is that he’ll escape as soon as possible.Īnd because of that I was thinking about how Loki and Sylvie’s ‘roles’ could get switched a bit. The main question is whether Loki will stay at the new TVA (maybe get captured) or escape before the guards that B-15 and Mobius sent after him come to apprehend him. I was thinking about season 2 of Loki again (when am I ever not lol) and about the plot and how the season might kick off.
